Reiki

Albert Einstein believed that, “everything is energy and that’s all there is to it.” Furthermore, ”future medicine will be the medicine of frequencies.” Reiki is a complementary therapy that supports this principle that everything in the Universe consists of energy that flows around and through us.
This Japanese healing modality merges two energy systems; the Rei – or Universal energy that surrounds us and supports our existence in the world, and the Ki – our personal life energy within our bodies.

When our energies flow freely, we feel healthy, vibrant, grounded, safe. However, disruptions to our energy may cause health and/or well-being issues. Oftentimes, our Nervous Systems interrupt these disruptions as threats and locks our bodies into a perpetual state of Fight-or-Flight.
Reiki relaxes the Nervous System, rebalances energies, and promotes an overall sense of connection with self and others.

Reiki is known to:

  • Activate the Parasympathetic Nervous System
  • Reduce Heart Rate and Blood Pressure
  • Stimulate the Body’s Immune System
  • Lower Stress Levels
  • Improve Sleep Quality
  • Reduce Anxiety, Depression, ADD, ADH, PTS, etc.
  • Relieve Pain and Tension
  • Improve Digestion
  • Alleviate AutoImmune Disorders
  • Promote Cognition, Intuition, Creativity, Connection, etc.
  • And so much more!

What to expect from a Reiki Session:

Our 60- or 90-minute sessions are done in a massage-like setting, however the client remains fully clothed.

The Practitioner moves along the body in a series of hand positions that signal safety to the Nervous System and transfers Universal energy into the Client. The Practitioner may remain in one or more position longer than others, depending on how the energy flows.
  • You can expect to feel relaxed and content.
  • You might feel heat, cold, tingling, etc. in the areas where the Practitioner’s hands are placed.
  • You might enter into a meditative state, or even fall into a light sleep.
  • You might feel your body release tension, stress, emotions, etc.
  • After a session, you may notice changes in how you think, feel, sleep, breathe, and more.
